1. General information, not medical advice
YourNurses.io gives general health information and guidance. It does not replace a doctor, nurse, midwife, pharmacist or other healthcare professional who knows you and can examine you. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe or change medicines, or provide treatment.
We do not offer telemedicine or teleconsultation through it: no one assesses, diagnoses or treats you as their patient. Using it, including asking a nurse, does not create a doctor–patient or nurse–patient relationship. Decisions about your health are yours to make, with a healthcare professional who has seen you.
2. In an emergency
If you think you or someone else may be seriously ill or injured, call your local emergency number now or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for an answer from the assistant or a nurse.
Emergency numbers in the Philippines: 911 (National emergency (ambulance, police, fire)) · 143 (Philippine Red Cross ambulance). All numbers and where they work.
If you are thinking about harming yourself: 1553 (Mental health crisis; 24/7, including holidays) · 0917-899-8727 (Mental health crisis; 24/7) · 0919-057-1553 (Mental health crisis; 24/7) · 0966-351-4518 (Mental health crisis; 24/7).
Nobody watches conversations live. Emergency guidance on YourNurses.io is always free.
3. How the AI works and where it can go wrong
- Answers are written by an AI model. Automatic safety checks and a second AI normally review every answer for missed warning signs and unsafe advice, but the AI and the checks can both make mistakes, and the checks may not run if a service is down.
- The urgency level on each answer is a suggestion based on what you wrote. If you feel worse or more worried than the answer suggests, get care.
- The assistant can only use what you tell it and show it. It cannot examine you, take measurements or see your full medical history.
- When it cites a source, that health information was reviewed and approved by our team on the date shown. Medical knowledge changes.
- The assistant's answers in some languages may be less accurate than in English. If something is unclear, ask again or switch to English.
4. Medicines
Do not start, stop or change a medicine, or its dose, because of an answer on YourNurses.io. Ask a doctor or pharmacist first, and follow the label and the leaflet that came with the medicine.
5. Test results, photos and documents
When the assistant explains a test result, it compares each value only with the reference range printed on your report. A value inside or outside that range is not a diagnosis; ranges differ between laboratories, and what a result means depends on you. Ask the person who ordered the test to explain it. The assistant can misread documents and photos and will say when it is unsure. A photo cannot confirm a diagnosis.
6. Health guides
Our health guides are written from the trusted sources listed on each page. A guide that a licensed clinician has reviewed names the reviewer and the date; a guide that has not been reviewed by a clinician yet says so. Guides are general information for many people, not advice about your own situation.
7. Nurses and healthcare professionals
Only nurses and other healthcare professionals we have approved can answer requests, and we approve them only after checking their licence. They give general guidance based only on what you send them, without examining you: it is not a consultation, a diagnosis or a prescription. Nurses reply when one is available, which may not be straight away.
8. Care directory
Listings of clinics, pharmacies and other services may be out of date. Opening hours, costs and services can change, so please check with the provider before you go. A listing is not a recommendation.
9. Translations
Website translations are drafts that are still being checked by fluent speakers. The English text of our legal pages, including this disclaimer, is the one that applies.
10. Other websites
We link to public health organisations and other websites. We are not responsible for their content.
11. Our responsibility
What we are and are not responsible for is set out in our Terms of use. Nothing in this disclaimer limits a right that the law does not allow to be limited.
